At Gidea Park, our Reception class is situated in a bright and open space that seamlessly connects with the Pre-School, offering a natural progression for our youngest learners. This shared area provides a nurturing environment where children can easily transition and continue their educational journey.

In addition to the indoor space, our Reception class benefits from a sensory garden that extends into the school grounds. This outdoor classroom allows pupils to immerse themselves in nature, exploring the garden and engaging in hands-on activities. Learning through play is encouraged, and lessons can be taken outdoors, providing a refreshing, and stimulating environment.

Gidea Park follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which focuses on holistic development. In addition to the core curriculum, our Reception students also benefit from specialist teaching in Physical Education (PE), Music, and Spanish.
