PROTECTING YOUR CHILD WHILE IN OUR CARE

SAFEGUARDING

Keeping our children safe

At Gidea Park Prep, the well-being and safety of our pupils is of paramount importance to us and we take all areas of this very seriously. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We follow all Safer Recruitment procedures to recruit and manage our staff.

All our staff are aware that they have a responsibility to identify pupils who are suffering, or are likely to suffer, significant harm. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.

Mr Douglas is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Gidea Park Prep, and he welcomes any concerns or questions regarding the safety of children being brought to his attention. The Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Miss King, Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Mr Ward, Deputy Head (Academic). The Designated Safeguarding Lead for EYFS is Miss Hadji (Nursery Manager).

“The school has a good discipline ethic and does not tolerate bullying.”
